"We Dance... With innovation and creativity. To preserve and evolve the rich tradition of classical ballet. To teach the next generation of artists. To encourage lifelong health and well-being. To honor the diversity of the human experience. To enrich our community. With integrity, excellence and passion. We dance."

- Ballet Austin's Core Values

One of the great things about living in Austin is the seemingly-endless exposure to the arts. From colorful street art on Castle Hill to live music available day and night, you're never short on artistic entertainment here in Austin. Dance is one of the more physical forms to enjoy, and if you're a fan of ballet you might have heard of Ballet Austin, the driving force behind professional dance education and performances our fair city. With a mission to share and educate, BA is able to open up a whole new world to audiences, showcasing emerging talent with new and original works.

Ballet Austin - Democratizing Dance for Austinites

Established in 1956, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization has a robust history, full of original and acclaimed productions and an unceasing commitment to creating access to dance programs. The group owns and operates a combined training facility, which is located in the heart of downtown Austin, and is one of the 15 largest classical ballet companies in the country.

For eye-opening ballet, both classical and original, Ballet Austin's 22 full-time professional dancers work to pull off some of the largest and most ambitious programs in the country. The group has even taken their performances on the road, participating in festivals in France, Europe, Canada, Italy, and even Slovenia.

Continuing Education in the Arts

The non-profit's formal school of ballet, The Ballet Austin Academy, serves more than 900 students each year; Ballet Austin II, established in 1999, is Ballet Austin's second learning annex and apprentice company, letting more advanced dancers continue their studies in a professional environment. Then there's the Butler Fellowship Program, which offers 15 fully-underwritten scholarships to dancers, and boasts an innovative and personalized approach to traditional, professional-track training. These dancers get the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the main company and Ballet Austin II in main stage, giving them real-life experience and elevating their dance skills.

The Perfect Dance of Ergonomics in the Office

Ballet Austin is instrumental in helping shape the arts and lives of dancers in Austin, and they've grown to have quite the team. To say thanks, we donated a fleet of standing desks, XF Standing Desk Converters, UPLIFT Dual Monitor Arms, and Motion Stools to help their dedicated team of dance fanatics work better and live healthier! We hope this will assist the hardworking group to extend healthy living beyond the stage and into the office. We can't wait to see what amazing work they do next, and can't wait to catch a performance or two in the very near future!
