This slim desk was created to help maximize floor space in areas with limited space. It's also great for fitting more furniture into larger spaces. Oftentimes, the rear 6" of a 30" deep desk is not utilized, so this shallow depth desk is a great option to save space. To compensate for the slim desk, we recommend that you use a monitor arm to "float" your monitor (or monitors) above the desktop. This will free up the desktop real estate that monitor stands occupy, especially important for a compact computer desk like this.
