Your Neck & Eyes Will Thank You!

The Crestview Single Monitor Arm enables a monitor to be ergonomically positioned for increased comfort and productivity while working. Adjust the height, tilt, distance, and alignment of screens to reduce stress on the neck, shoulders, and torso—and to keep eyes from straining to see a monitor that is too far away.

Distance: Place your monitor screen roughly an arm's length (fingertip reach) away. Positioning the screen too far away will cause you to have trouble seeing the monitor and your eyes will pull your head forward causing you to extend your neck; this often leads to neck, back, and shoulder discomfort.

Height: Make sure that the top line of your monitor is at or just below eye level. Tilting your head backward to read your screen leads to discomfort.

Angle: Adjust screen angle to minimize glare from windows and other light sources.

Float Your Screen To Gain Space

The Crestview Monitor Arm has 13" of vertical adjustment range provided by a smooth operating gas assisted spring arm that counterbalances monitors perfectly. By floating the monitor above the desktop, valuable desktop real estate is reclaimed. More usable workspace contributes to enhanced productivity and comfort.

Primary Zone: Stretching approximately 15" to 17" from the user, this zone is used for items that are used most often (like a keyboard and mouse).

Secondary Zone: This zone stretches approximately 27" inches away from the user. The user can reach items in this zone without leaning. It's a good space for a phone, coffee cup, water bottle, reference notebooks, or calculator.

Tertiary Zone: The third zone stretches 42" to 45" from the user. It's a good space for lamps, sunglasses, or books.

Innovative Design Features

180 or 360 Degrees of Pivot: The Crestview Monitor Arm is capable of switching between 360 and 180 degrees of pivot depending on your needs. Simply engage the 180 degree stopping mechanism to prevent the monitor arm from rotating past the back edge of the desk. It prevents collisions with walls, privacy panels, or perhaps the monitors of a coworker seated opposite.

Integrated Cable Management: Ensures cables and cords are routed efficiently from the monitor to the computer. Provides a clean and organized aesthetic.

Built-in Allen Wrench Holder: Holds the included allen wrenches for minor arm adjustments. Also handy if relocating the monitor arm in the future. Holder is conveniently located behind the monitor arm base.

Upgraded Capabilities

The optional Crestview Monitor Arm Wiring Kit adds two 3.0 USB ports and two multimedia ports. Provides convenient access to USB charging, microphone and headset jacks. Cable length is 6' and is sufficient for most configurations for the wiring from the monitor arm base to the computer (cable extensions can be utilized if 6' is not enough). The Wiring Kit only comes in black, regardless of the color of monitor arm selected.

The optional Laptop Mount is ideal for laptop screen positioning. It adds all the same benefits of the monitor arm to a laptop screen (positions the top of laptop screen at eye height; positions screen at fingertip distance from the eyes). The laptop is supported by the Laptop Mount's steel tray and securely held in place with a front lip, non-slip pads on the tray, and elastic straps. A ventilation cut out on the laptop platform allows airflow to the laptop.

Installation & Assembly

Choose from two included mounting options:

  • The Clamp-On method clamps the monitor arm to the edge of the desktop. The clamp-on method works with desktops ranging from 0.4" - 3.3" in thickness.
  • The Bolt-Through method attaches the monitor arm anywhere on the desktop or table using an existing hole (such as a grommet hole) or a new bolt hole. The bolt-through method works with desktops ranging from 0.4" - 1.8" in thickness.

The quick release VESA plate greatly assists with monitor installation. Instead of holding the monitor up to the monitor arm to fasten with screws, attach the VESA plate to your monitor first, and then slide the VESA plate onto the monitor arm.

The Crestview Monitor Arm supports monitors weighing between 2.2 lb to 33 lb, delivering an extremely wide weight range to accommodate most monitors.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I use this arm with a desk that isn't an UPLIFT Desk?

Yes, this accessory is compatible with UPLIFT and non-UPLIFT desks, as long as the desktop meets the thickness specification:

    • Clamp-On (0.4" - 3.3" desktop thickness)
    • Bolt-Through (0.4" - 1.8" desktop thickness)
  2. Do you have the Crestview in a dual monitor arm version?

Yes, the Crestview Dual Monitor Arm has the same features and a similar range of adjustability.

The width limit for a dual monitor arm is not unlimited like the Crestview Single Monitor Arm. If you have extremely wide monitors, you can use two Crestview Single Monitor Arms. This enables you to place the bases far enough apart to accommodate wide screens and still maintain adjustability.

  3. What is a "quick-release VESA mount"?

We understand the frustration of holding a monitor up with one hand while trying to fasten it onto the VESA plate with the other.

The quick release VESA mount makes attaching a monitor simple. Fasten the included VESA plate to the back of your monitor, then slide the VESA plate into the mount at the end of the monitor arm.

This feature also makes changing or moving monitors much easier. Press on the tab to disengage the lock and slide it off the monitor arm.

  4. Can the monitor arms be locked, so that the monitor does not move if bumped?

The base should not move if installed properly but there is no way to lock the swivel of the arm joints. The monitor tilt adjustment can be tightened so that the angle will not change if bumped.

  5. I need help setting up my monitor arm at the ergonomically correct position. Do you have any tips?

Distance: Place your monitor screen roughly an arm's length (fingertip reach) away. Positioning the screen too far away will cause you to have trouble seeing the monitor and your eyes will pull your head forward causing you to extend your neck; this often leads to neck, back, and shoulder discomfort.

Height: Make sure that the top line of your monitor is at or just below eye level. Tilting your head backward to read your screen leads to discomfort.

Angle: Adjust screen angle to minimize glare from windows and light sources
