Before ordering parts please determine which UPLIFT Desk Frame you own.

Take a look at the left or right side of your frame, if you DON'T see the UPLIFT Desk logo near the top of the frame then it is a V1 frame.

If you DO see a logo, you have either a V2 or V2-Commercial Frame.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is this? Why do I need a control box?

Inside every adjustable height desk is a sort of "brain" that raises and lowers your desk digitally and stores all of the program features for your desk. The Control Box communicates with your digital keypad and lets you move to your pre-saved memory settings without the need to manually readjust your height settings.

  2. Will this work on my 3-leg or 4-leg desk?

Our control boxes each correspond to a specific UPLIFT Desk model. You will need to select the control box that corresponds with the number of legs your desk has. Even if you can physically plug all your legs into your control box, it will not function properly if you are using the incorrect model. If you need help determining whether you need a 2-, 3-, or 4-leg control box, please contact us.

  3. Which version of the control box do I need?

You will need a control box that is compatible with your desk frame. To determine which model of desk you have, look for the UPLIFT Desk logo on the side of your desk frame. If you DO NOT see the UPLIFT Desk logo near the top of your frame you have a V1 desk frame. If you DO see the UPLIFT desk logo on your frame you have a V2 or V2-Commercial. The V2-Commercial frames can be distinguished by the lower support bar which connects 2 of your frames legs.

  4. Do I need a new keypad for this?

Not if your keypad currently works. Our control boxes are programmed to work with our Basic Keypad, and all our Advanced Keypads, but if you're thinking of upgrading check out the Advanced Keypads, Advanced Comfort Keypad, or Advanced Paddle Keypad by UPLIFT Desk. Advanced Keypads allow you to save height preferences within the keypads memory to easily switch between sitting and standing and also access the program features within the control box.

  5. Which power cord do I need for the 240V control boxes?

Take a look at your power outlet to see what the hole shapes look like and compare that to the images of our Type C and Type G cord options in the “Choose Your Plug” section.

  6. Do the control boxes have a fuse?

No, in place of a physical fuse, the control boxes are designed with an integrated over-current protection feature in the circuit board.

  7. I don't live in the United States, will this desk work with my outlets?

All UPLIFT Desks operate on an input voltage of 120 Vac. If you are located in an area that does not provide 120V, you MUST use an acceptable step down transformer to be covered by the desk's warranty. Neglecting to use a proper step down transformer or connecting to a 120V power source will cause permanent damage to the desk's electrical components. It is not sufficient to simply use a 120V plug adapter.

Control Box

Why Buy?

Older UPLIFT Desks can be upgraded to the latest control box, which includes an anti-collision safety feature that stops your desk if it bumps into something. The new control box also enables one-touch height adjustment on both the Advanced Keypad and the Connect mobile app (paired with the Connect Dongle).

The Connect Dongle is compatible with version 3 control boxes and newer. You can easily confirm your version by looking at the silver label on the box. If it says V3 or V4, your control box is compatible.

If you have questions about which version of control box you currently have, feel free to chat or call one of our Sales Pros at 1-800-349-3839.
