FAQ
Inside every adjustable height desk is a "brain" that stores all of the program features and settings. The keypad communicates with the control box to move the desk. Depending on which keypad you have, the control box can automatically move the desk to saved sitting and standing heights with a single tap of a button. The control box also houses all of the other convenient features such as desk height calibration, keypad lock, one-touch or constant-touch settings, etc.
Control boxes each correspond to a specific UPLIFT Desk model. Select the control box that corresponds with the number of legs on the desk. Even if you can physically plug all your legs into your control box, it will not function properly if you are using the incorrect model. For help determining whether you need a 1-leg, 2-leg, 3-leg, or 4-leg desk control box, please contact us.
You need a control box that is compatible with your desk frame. To determine which model of desk you have, look for the UPLIFT Desk logo on the side of your desk frame. If you DO NOT see the UPLIFT Desk logo near the top of your frame you have a V1 desk frame. If you DO see the UPLIFT desk logo on your desk frame you have a V2 or V2-Commercial desk. V2-Commercial desks have a lower cross bar that connects two of the desk legs.
No, not if your keypad is currently functioning correctly. Control boxes are programmed to work with all UPLIFT Desk keypads. If you're thinking of upgrading, check out the Basic Comfort Flush Keypad, Basic Display Angled Keypad, Advanced Comfort Flush Keypad, Advanced Comfort Angled Keypad, or Advanced Paddle Keypad by UPLIFT Desk. Advanced Keypads allow saving height preferences within the keypads memory to easily switch between sitting and standing and also access the program features within the control box. If your keypad is not working, visit the Desk Reset & Troubleshooting page or contact us for support.
Take a look at the power outlet to see what the hole shapes look like and compare that to the images of the Type C and Type G cord options in the "Plug Types" section above.
No, in place of a physical fuse, the control boxes are designed with an integrated over-current protection feature in the circuit board.
