Benefits Your Neck & Eyes

The Enfield Single Monitor Arm ergonomically positions your monitor for increased comfort and productivity. Adjust the height, angle, and distance of a monitor quickly and easily to minimize stress on the neck, shoulders, and torso—and to keep eyes from straining to see monitor text that is too far away.

Height: Make sure that the top line of your monitor is at or just below eye level. Tilting your head backward to read your screen leads to neck discomfort.

Distance: Place your monitor screen roughly an arm's length (fingertip reach) away. Positioning the screen too far away will cause you to have trouble seeing the monitor, and your eyes will pull your head forward causing you to extend your neck, often leading to neck, back, and shoulder discomfort.

Angle: Adjust screen angle to minimize glare from lights and windows.

Gain Space By Floating Your Screen

The Enfield Monitor Arm has 9.8" of vertical adjustment range provided by a smooth operating, gas assisted spring arm that counterbalances a monitor perfectly.

By floating the monitor above the desk, valuable desktop space in the primary and secondary reach zone is reclaimed from bulky monitor stands. More usable workspace contributes to enhanced organization, productivity, and comfort.

Primary Zone: Stretching approximately 15" to 17" from the user, this zone is best for items that are used most often (like a keyboard and mouse).

Secondary Zone: This zone reaches approximately 27" away from the user. The user can reach items in this zone without leaning. It's a good space for a phone, coffee cup, water bottle, reference notebooks, or calculator.

Tertiary Zone: The third zone ends about 42" to 45" from the user and is a great place for lamps, sunglasses, or books.

Elevated & Attentive Design

Sturdy, modern, and elegant, the Enfield brings value in both form and function.

The Enfield Single Monitor Arm can pivot a full 360˚ at the base, or you can engage the 180˚ stopping pin to prevent the arm from rotating past the back edge of the desk.

Wire management channels are integrated into the upper and lower arms to keep your workspace free of stray cables.

Cable routing and allen wrench holders are located behind the base when the monitor arm is mounted to your desktop using the Clamp-On method.

Arm Installation

Choose from two included mounting options:

The Clamp-On method clamps the monitor arm to the edge of the desktop. The clamp works with desktops ranging from 0.4" - 3.3" in thickness.

The Bolt-Through method attaches the monitor arm anywhere on the desktop or table using an existing hole (such as a grommet hole) or a new bolt hole that you drill in an ideal location. The bolt-through method works with desktops ranging from 0.4" - 3.1" in thickness.

Monitor Installation

We understand the frustration of holding a monitor up with one hand while trying to fasten it onto the VESA plate with the other-so we've eliminated the need to do that.

The quick-release VESA plate greatly assists with monitor installation. Instead of holding the monitor up to the monitor arm to fasten with screws, attach the VESA plate to your monitor first, and then slide the VESA plate onto the monitor arm. The VESA mount accommodates standard 75mm and 100mm mounting patterns and includes a mechanical lock for visual indication that your monitor is securely attached to the arm.

The Enfield Single Monitor Arm supports monitors weighing between 4.4 lb to 19.8 lb.

A convenient indicator displays the level of spring tension to determine how to adjust for the weight of your monitor during installation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I use this arm with a desk that isn't an UPLIFT Desk?

Yes, the Enfield Single Monitor Arm is compatible with both UPLIFT and non-UPLIFT desks, as long as the desktop meets the thickness specification and is sturdy enough for the clamp or bolt-through mount:

    • Clamp-On (0.4" - 3.3" desktop thickness)
    • Bolt-Through (0.4" - 3.1" desktop thickness)
  2. Do you have the Enfield in a dual monitor arm version?

Yes, the Enfield Dual Monitor Arm has the same features and a similar range of adjustability.

The monitor width for a dual monitor arm is not unlimited like the Enfield Single Monitor Arm. If you have monitors wider than 32" (measured diagonally), you can use two Enfield Single Monitor Arms. This enables you to place the bases far enough apart to accommodate wide screens and still maintain adjustability. For maximized positioning flexibility we recommend two Enfield Single Monitor arms.

  3. What is a "quick-release VESA mount"?

The quick-release VESA mount makes attaching a monitor simple. Fasten the included VESA plate to the back of your monitor, then slide the VESA plate into the mount at the end of the monitor arm and lock it into place.

This feature also makes changing or moving monitors much easier. Turn the knob to unlock and slide it off the monitor arm.

  4. Can the monitor arms be locked so that the monitor does not move if bumped?

The base should not move if installed properly, but there is no way to lock the swivel of the arm joints. The monitor tilt adjustment can be tightened so that the angle will not change if bumped.

  5. I need help setting up my monitor arm at the ergonomically correct position. Do you have any tips?

Distance: Place your monitor screen roughly an arm's length (fingertip reach) away. Positioning the screen too far away will cause you to have trouble seeing the monitor and your eyes will pull your head forward causing you to extend your neck; this often leads to neck, back, and shoulder discomfort.

Height: Make sure that the top line of your monitor is at or just below eye level. Tilting your head backward to read your screen leads to discomfort.

Angle: Adjust screen angle to minimize glare from windows and light sources.
