The 7" x 7" samples are large enough to get an idea of how each custom solid wood desktop will appear (including grain patterns, cut, joinery, and finish) and how the desktop colors and textures will blend with decor. Of course, all solid wood desktops are produced by mother nature and will therefore be one of a kind with slight variations in color and grain.
All samples are cut to the actual thickness of the desktop. With physical samples, you can compare not just the appearance but the heft and feel of the various desktop wood species.
For every solid wood desktop sold, UPLIFT Desk plants five trees in U.S. National Forests through our partnership with the National Forest Foundation.

FAQ
If the air in your area is especially dry, your wood desktop could be at increased risk of cracking and splitting. Wood contracts in very dry environments, leaving it vulnerable to cracking and warping. If you live in a very dry environment (Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake City, etc) and your desktop does crack, we will send you a repair kit to fill the affected areas because sending you the same desktop into your dry environment can result in the same cracking. If you live in a very dry area and potentially repairing your wood desktop isn't something you're comfortable with, we recommend that you take a look at our Bamboo, Eco, or Laminate desktops.

No, these samples are for purchase only, and yours to keep for future reference. In order to ensure each customer receives new, undamaged samples, we cannot accept returns. However, if you purchase a desk, we will deduct the cost of the samples from the desk price.
