Stay in the zone
L-shaped desks provide extra space within the three work zones shown in the diagram. The wraparound design keeps everything at a natural reach, reducing strain and making it easier to maintain a comfortable posture.
Primary Zone: Located approximately 15" to 17" from the user, this zone is best for items that are used most frequently (like a keyboard and mouse).
Secondary Zone: Located approximately 27" from the user, items placed here can be reached without leaning. It's a good space for your phone, beverage, notepads, reference materials, or calculator.
Tertiary Zone: The third zone stretches 42" to 45" from the user. It's a good space for lamps, sunglasses, or books.
Pick a side, any side
The L-shaped desk returns can be built to either side of the main desktop. You can view a left or right return in the desk configurator, but this doesn't affect your order. You'll make the final left or right return decision when assembling the desk. And don't worry—you can always switch it as your space or needs change.

All UPLIFT Desk frames pass the stability, strength, safety, and durability testing requirements per the ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-2021 Desk & Table Products standard. The UPLIFT V2-Commercial frame also meets the ANSI/BIFMA G1-2013 Ergonomic height standard (it travels 2.7 inches lower than the V2 frame).

All 3-leg UPLIFT Standing Desks are equipped with 3-stage legs that move 33% faster than typical 2-stage sit-stand desk frames and lift up to 535 lb with ease. The UPLIFT V2 features a travel range of 25.6", 33% greater than other desks, and the UPLIFT V2-Commercial boasts a full 26.1" of travel for 35% more range.
Which desk frame is right for me?
The key difference between the UPLIFT V2 and UPLIFT V2-Commercial is the height range, the V2-Commercial frame travels 3" lower than the V2 and is a great choice for shorter people. The V2-Commercial frame was developed to satisfy all requirements of the ANSI/BIFMA G1-2013 height standard to ergonomically accommodate 95% of office workers (people between 5' and 6'3" tall).

The stability braces at the top of each V2 desk leg maximize stoutness and eliminate side-to-side wobble to match the stability of the V2-Commercial desk without the need for a crossbar.

Height range with a 1" thick desktop: 22.6" to 48.7"
Travel range: 26.1"
User height range: Works for most people 5' to 6'3" tall
The V2-Commercial desk has a 3" lower starting height and a ½" larger overall height adjustment range than the V2 frame. The legs are thicker and connected by a lower crossbar.
4'8" tall or less?
Choose the V2-Commercial desk and consider a keyboard tray to decrease the seated desktop working height by up to 5".
Between 4'8" & 6'9" tall?
Choose either the V2 or V2-Commercial desk, and if less than 5 feet tall, consider a keyboard tray to decrease the seated desktop working height by up to 5".
Using a treadmill or over 6'9" tall?
Treadmills can raise your standing height by up to 8". For example, a 6'1" tall person using an 8" high treadmill fits a V2 desk. For an even taller desk add desk casters or a keyboard tray.
Measure your working heights
We recommend measuring your standing and seated working heights to ensure you select the best desk.
How to measure your standing height
Stand and measure from the floor to your 90° bent elbow. If your standing height is above 48.7", we recommend choosing the V2 desk frame. If you're using a treadmill or motion board, factor that into your height.
How to measure your seated height
Sit and measure from the floor to your 90° bent elbow. If your seated height is below 25.3", we recommend choosing the V2-Commercial desk frame.
Factors that affect height
Shoes add about 1" to your standing height.
Standing motion boards raise your height 2" or more.
Casters raise desk height 2"–5", depending on the wheel model.
Treadmills raise your height up to 8".
Keyboard trays lower the ergonomic working position of your desk by up to 5", making the V2 desk suitable for users 4'8" and taller, and the V2-Commercial desk for users 4'3" and taller.
Certain keyboard trays can raise the working position by up to 3" without a track spacer (or 1" with one), making the V2 desk ideal for users up to 7'0” tall and the V2-Commercial desk for those up to 6'6”.
