When used as a computer monitor stand or riser, the desk shelf lifts screens to a better position to help avoid neck strain. The goal is to get the top of the monitor to approximately eye height. Sturdy shelf and bracket design supports up to 25 lb for the 15" shelf and up to 50 lb for the 27" shelf—more than enough to support most large monitors.
When possible, we recommend the use of a monitor arm for ideal ergonomic positioning because every person is different and monitors vary in height. Monitor arms provide the perfect screen height, distance to the monitor, and screen tilt, for any user.
The shelves' clamp-on hardware makes mounting and moving them a snap. They also sit tight against the rear edge of a desk or table, making them usable on desks within a cubicle, up against a wall, or with privacy panels clamped to the rear of the desktop. Included black neoprene pad protects items and the shelf itself from scratches.
The perfect solution for desktop speakers, the neoprene pad on these shelves helps reduce speaker vibration. Not only do they free up space underneath the shelf for general accessories, they're also designed to support larger speakers and studio monitors. The raised height also helps position sound at the appropriate ear level.
Lights, chargers, speakers, controllers, and other items can finally have a place of their own. These shelves make room for all those accessories and more.
