The UPLIFT Motion Stool has a weighted convex base that enables you to move freely while sitting or perching, and the weighted base keeps the stool upright when not in use, while a treaded rubber covering on the base maximizes friction with the floor. You can perch sit with the stool tilted forward, or rock back and forth. This stool allows motion in every direction. That's why we call it UPLIFT Motion!
A fabric seat provides maximum breathability. This isn't a hot seat after all, it's made for comfort. Keeps you dry; it's no sweat! The soft foam padded seat cushion with waterfall edge reduces pressure points and allows maximum flexibility. There's a reason most stool seats are round.
The UPLIFT Motion Stool works best with an adjustable height desk where you need to change from seated to standing easily.
The Motion Stool offers a generous 10-inch height adjustment range. At its lowest setting of 23.5" most users will be able to comfortably sit on the stool. For standing applications, you can perch on the stool by leaning the seat forward as you sit back.
Yes! But you may not be able to sit on the stool at its lowest height setting. Instead you will just perch on the stool. We also recommend that users under 5'2" tall pair the UPLIFT Motion Stool with a footrest.
Sort of! The Motion Stool will keep you engaged just like a balance ball. But you get the added benefit of a supportive stool that won't pop or roll away when you stand up!
The Motion Stool will engage your core muscles while you perch or sway at your desk. However, it is not meant to be a piece of exercise equipment. You should keep your feet firmly planted while you sit and should not use this as a balance ball.
The Motion Stool is meant to complement a sit-stand workstation. However, it should not completely replace an ergonomic office chair. It does not lower as far as most office chairs, and does not offer back or lumbar support.
The Motion Stool weighs 23 pounds. So it is portable, but you may not want to carry it too far.
No, the stool only lowers to 23.5". It cannot go low enough to safely support anyone under five feet tall.
Yes! The UPLIFT Motion Stool goes up to a generous 33.5" tall to support our taller users.
Right now the Motion Stool is only available in black or blue. We will be expanding our color selection in the future so check back with us!
Our Motion Stool offers more padding than its competitors. We think it is the most comfortable stool of its type on the market, but we may be just a bit biased.
The cushion on the Motion Stool is very comfortable. However, this is not meant to be a full-time office chair.
The weighted base will keep your stool upright while you are sitting on it, and even while you are not seated! However, do not try to test the limits of the stool by leaning too far to the side or back, because you may very well tip over.
Try not to plop down on the stool. Instead, use your hand to make sure the seat of the stool is positioned under you when you go to sit down or perch.
We do not recommend using the UPLIFT Motion stool on a carpet surface. The tread on the bottom of the stool is meant to grip a hard surface so that you do not slip!
Sitting for long stretches of time may cause you to become fatigued. This stool will engage your core and thighs so you won't tire as easily as in a regular office chair. However, we still recommend standing for about 15 minutes every hour to break up the fatigue of sitting or perching.
The fabric on the seat was specifically chosen to be breathable so you won't get hot or sweaty while using the UPLIFT Motion Stool.

I work from home so am on the computer >8 hours everyday. I have lifts to raise my monitors so i can stand more throughout the day. I found that my feet, hips, and knees would ache horribly at the end of the day. This stool solves those problems. The shipping was very fast. Only thing that isn't perfect is the black sleeve piece that is supposed to fit onto the bottom of the seat around the cylinder will not stay on and drops down. It is somewhat scary when it falls if you are not suspecting it.

First of all, yes, I'm very happy with my stool. It really helps my posture and I find I'm more focused at work. That said I'm about 6'1" and the upper limit of the chair feels just a little bit too low for me to "perch" comfortably like the videos show. I end up at more of an angle than I would like. The other thing is the black plastic piece on the leg that clicks into the top part of the stool. When sitting, I often move my feet back and kick it, and it comes off and I have to reattach it, which itself is not an easy task. I wish that stayed in place more reliably.

What is not to love about this chair?!! It's easy to get on and off at any angle, the top is comfortable, love the height adjustment as I purchased an interesting height craft table and didnt realize I wouldn't be able to find a standard chair for it, and somehow this chair doesn't tip!! I want another one and hoping these go on sale so I can get another one for another room in my house.
